Monday.
Mr Chua asked the class to take out the paper on what the date and time is our acting on the particular scene.My team is on next tuesday 21/09/2010 5pm.I am quite excited about the act and what the score will be given for my team.
After that,Mr Chua gave the class to watched Romeo and Juliet movie to let us understand what the scence is about and how we supposed to act.I learnt how to act like a serving man and how the scene is about.
Tuesday.
Mr Chua brought us to the 4th storey near the AVA room to do a rehearsal on our scene.I find that my team is not doing well because we do not have any plan on how to act.Hope to improve on our act during any practises.

Term 3 week 10
Monday.
Mr Chua brought the whole class up and the 4 groups did their full dress rehearsal outside the spectrum.I saw the first 2 groups performed and I think they are doing very well but they did not memorise the text.I was suprised to know that my team actors had memorised their text.
Our team was the last team to act and all our friends had already went back to class for lesson.
Cherlane recorded down our acting and post it on YouTube.

Monday.
We did a test on ''Are You Lonesome Tonight'' and the test was quite a difficult one because there are lot of questions that I did not memorise.Hope to get a pass or a A if possible.
Tuesday.
Mr Chua gave us a piece of worksheet about ''The Vulture Watching A Starving Child''.From this picture I had learnt alot.This picture is about the child crawling toward a food camp centre to get food to eat.We can see that the child is crawling slowly and not walk.This show us that the child was starved till can't walk.
At first I did not know what is vulture but after Mr Chua said that vulture only eat things that are dead.So it mean that the vulture though the child was dead and want to eat cause the child was crawling very slow as if she was dead.
I also know that the photographer committed suicide due to depression of the world saying him cruel and did not help the child.
Term 3 week 8
Monday.
Mr Chua brought the whole class pupil down near computer lap 2 to do a rehearsal of our EOY acting.My group decided to get someone to be the serving man as the scene need one serving man to say ''I don't know sir'' when Romeo asked the serving man.So they decided that I will be the serving man.
We did a round of acting and I think my group is doing quite well especially Jerod because he the first to memorise the line for him.But their voice is abit too soft and does not have any eye contacts.I think after much commenting and practises,my team will get what they want next tuesday.We will get a very high score if we continue to practise.Go for it team.

Today Mr Chua go through ''The Mighty Mandarin'' worksheet and as usual,he will use the bottle of name to choose the lucky one to answer the particular question.I was very lucky that I was not being choosen but I learn quite alot of things when Mr Chua go through the paper.I got quite a lot of question wrong and I need to learn the mistake that I got it wrong and does not repeat it again when the same question appear again.

I did not came to school because I was sick from flu and need to stay at home to rest.
Tuesday.
Mr Chua started a new text called''The Mighty Mandarin'' and it was quite a nice story.The text is very intresting and it made me want to read it over and over again.My class consist of 8 roles and the text have many character and their saying line.Mr Chua name each role 1 character and the role with the particular character will need to stand up and say their line when it their turn to say their line.
I was quite shy and sometime said the wrong word but from this lesson,I learnt to speak more confidently and loudly in every other lesson when it time for me to answer question.

Term 3 week 5
Monday and Tuesday:Mr Chua asked us to open our text to scene 3.But before that,he let us do a thinking quiz by testing us about scene 2.For scene 3,I learnt about the flash back because from Older Presley to Younger Presley and now back to Older Presley.I also learnt that Elvis treat the things he care or love cold and destroy everything around him.The text said that he was doign his hundred and five and Cape Canaveral sent out an alert.Cape Canaveral is a place for sending rocket/spaceship to space.And that mean the Cadillac was sending out an loud alert because it was burn and hundred and give tells us that he was speeding.
He took drug because he was very stress about his mother death and he did not attend it because he was in his US Army.He took drug to forget every sad thing happened on him.If i can choose to leave the US Army and loss million of money and stay with my love till his/her last breath.

Monday and Tuesday:Mr Chua gave done a recalled on our thinking of scene 1.After that,Mr Chua let us see the scene 2 of Younger Presley life time.When Elvis was young,he treated the women around him very well and not like the way he treat RedHead in scene 1.I can see that at that time Elvis lived in a very poor place because there ain't a Cadillac on the block and he mentioned that they does not live in Caddillac country.He treated his mother well because when her mother said she want a chandelier,he just say yes.From this lesson,I learnt that Elvis got a twin brother and died when he was borned.Mr Chua gave us scene 2 worksheet and we need to hand in by next tuesday.

Monday:Mr Chua asked us to open our text to Elvis Fact File to know the history of Elvis Presley.The text tells me that he was a best selling solo artist in history and the King of Rock and Roll.He borned in Tupelo Mississippi,USA 1935 and died on 1977 in Memphis,Tennessee USA in the aged of 42.He was died of over consume of drug he having it.His mother is Gladys Presley and his girlfriend is RedHead.
Tuesday:Mr Chua asked us to open our text to scene 1 and see how Older Presley treat his girlfriend RedHead.This lesson i found out that Older Presley treated his girlfriend very cold and think she is like his friends Duke and Gerry that only want his money.In my opinion,I think RedHead treat Elvis Presley very well because i can know she is not after his money because when Elvis asked her is she wan gold watch or cadillac,she said she only wan to talk to him.When Elvis want to take the drug,RedHead quickly closed the case.That shwo me how RedHead care for Elvis health.Mr Chua gave us a worksheet on scene 1 and need to hand in by next week.

Monday:Holiday is over and we are back in our normal daily student life.Today,Mr Chua asked us to group ourself in 4 different group.I was grouped with my best friend Zheng Yuan and i think it fun cause we work together very well.Mr Chua gave us 2 worksheet.the first one is about the role our group play and the other worksheet is about different role the other people play in the movie/clip and we need to search the internet for more details.
We were asked to write down the person that we think it suitable in the role for the clip.We were asked to choose a clip that we want to act out.The two clips are'MOV' and 'Romeo and Juliet'.

Miss Malyana gave us one piece of paper about love.She asked us to fold it to 3 part and we need to ask every pupil in the class about qualities about their future love one.Now i become more understanding about my friend qualities of their love one.For me,I think the quality for me is loyal.I think if a couple want to be together,they must be loyal to each other if not there will be many cases happen.
The other part is about the greek of love.Eros mean passionate love or longing.Pilia mean brotherhood and friendship involves loyalty to friends,family and community.Agape mean adivine,unconditional and self-sacrificing affection.The highest and purest form of love.For my religion about love is love should be together and not to be apart.
The other part is about writing my love poem to my love one and other part is about a song that is suitable for love.I choosed ''Love Story'' was because it let us know about a girl name Juliet love a guy and when they first met,they fall in love with each other.
Lastly,we need to ask our neighbour about the quality of love in their opinion.From this lesson i learnt more about love and how love can change a person so much.

Tuesday.
Mr Chua gave us back our exam paper and i got a pretty nice mark and there still some who failed but I believe they will do well in the next exam.
Mr Chua asked us to write a reflection on how we do well and why we did not do well.
My reflection for doing well was because I did not studied it at the last minute of the exam and i watched many video on the story and most importantly,I had also listen to what teacher said in class.

From this lesson,I learnt to recall everything that i learnt very quickly and not waste any time.Another thing that I learnt was some of the things that I did not know that my friends wrote it down.

After everyone had acted,Miss Malyana was not happy with our acting and told us to act again on thursday.She told us many tips on acting.For example,loud and clear voice and more actions on it.
From this lesson i learnt to speak loud and clear and act more hand actions on my acting.

Tuesday:Ms Malyanah let us see lot of Macbeth video because she want us to take those video as a reference to our acting on Macbeth next week.There also students from other school that act on the 3 witches on Macbeth story and there also animation on Macbeth story.
From this lesson i had learnt many acting skill on how to act like the 3 witches in Macbeth story.For example is about the way they talk and the way they walk.

For saints have hands that pilgrims'hands do touch.
And palm to palm is holy palmer's kiss(to show devotion and love using their palms,just like how the pilgrims show devotion and love to their religion).
Have not saints lips,and holy palmers too?

Oh then,dear saint,let lips do what hands do(Romeo is praying for Juliet to kiss him).
They pray,grant thou,lest faith turn to despair(he prayed and less chances of faith turn to despair).

Torches are used to bring bright to dark places.When Romeo says that Juliet 'teaches the torches to bun bright'.he is saying that she is more than any torch.Light is a symbol of beauty.
'It seems she hangs upon the cheek of night
Like a rich jewel in an Ethiope's ear.'
The literary device used here is personification.Night is imagined by Romeo to have a life.This means that night is given human characteristics.
Diamonds reflect light cast on them and they sparkle Ethiopia is a country in Africa.Peaple in this country have dark skin.Objects that shine like diamons in the night sky are the stars,and the moon.
'So shows a snowy dove trooping amongst crows,
As yonder lady over her fellows show'
The literary device used here is metaphor,since Juliet is directly compared to a dove.These birds are beautiful.The rest of the ladies in the Ball are compared to crows.These birds are urgly.

Week 7.
Wednesday:Mr Chua gave as a worksheet about Romeo and Juliet.This two lovers had a crush on each other on a house party.But their parents disagreed them to be together because Romeo family are enermy of Juliet family.After given us the worksheet,Mr chua let us watch a short video of Romeo and Juliet at the party where they had a crush on each other.Mr Chua told us to do the character trait on the character we are doing on.
I learnt from this lesson that when we love one person but the familes are enermy amoung each others there no way we can be together.
Friday:Mr Chua asked us to sit in four different rows.Each row of different character.Mr Chua gave us a peice of A4 size white paper to do our mind-map with our partner.We need to our
choose 3 best character trait from me or my partner to put in the mind-map.Mr Chua also told us the things that will be test out for our test.
Mr Chua gave us back our post card and also gave us an envelope to put our post card in.We wrote our friend address on it and the name.We get our stamp and give the envelope back to Mr Chua.

Week 6
Wednesday:The class had been told to do a comprehension worksheet base on the title called''Merchant of Venice".We only had 10 minutes to complete it.The story is about Shylock insist on taking the pound of flesh from Antonio and not taking the 3 times the money.This tells me that Shylock must be hated Antonio for a very long time because Shylock does not care about the 3times of money and insist on wanting the pound of flesh.This also tell me that Shylock does not want to be meriful toward Antonio.On other worksheet,Mr Chua let us know that Shylock hate Antonio for a very long time because Antonio insulted the Shylock by calling him a cut-throat dog and misbeliever and even spit upon Shylock Jewish clothes.
This lesson taught me that we must be merciful and not to insult peoples that are different religion of us or else others will treat us back badly or the way we treated them earlier.

Week 5.
Monday:We spent 30 mins to talk about the mercy of God from different religion.
Buddhist God saved people from earthquake.
Christian God send his son down to sacrified himself for every sin people in order to prevent them from going hell.
Hindu God love will forgive all the sins people made.
Muslim God forgive sin people if they are loyal to him.
Mr Chua asked us if we has a best friend that willing to sacrified himself to save you.He asked us to write a postcard to send to our best friend.

Wednesday:Mr Chua brought us outside of the class and tell us who our character is and asked some people to act as Portia,Shylock,Antonio,Bassanio,Gratiano and Nerissa.We Are also requested to pass up the Character trait work by next wednesday.
